Problem
Off-the-shelf e-commerce packages do not meet the needs of a custom machine manufacturer. A machine sold by quotation needs stock management, serial number tracking and custom pricing.
Solution
I built my own infrastructure: product catalogue, quotation management, order tracking, customer records and content management in a single panel. Requirements specific to machine manufacturing were addressed from the start.
Note
This site and the e-commerce system are built on the same infrastructure.
